OSMA Advocates for Federal Medicare Payment Fix Act on Capitol Hill

Last week, OSMA advocacy staff and physician members, along with others from our coalition, visited Washington, D.C. and met with members of Congress during the American Medical Association (AMA)’s National Advocacy Conference (NAC).

The team and many others from all over the country met with elected officials and urged them to pass H.R. 879. If passed, this "Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act" would cancel the January 1 Medicare payment cut and provide a 2% payment update, helping to stabilize physician practices and protect patients' access to care.

No policy issue at the federal level is more important to your profession than H.R. 879.

We need your help!

  • Please contact your representative today to co-sponsor the "Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act" (H.R. 879). The current spending package expires in mid-March and we need to ensure H.R. 879 language is included in the next version.
