Summer Scholars 2024

Saksha Krishnan
The Ohio State University College of Medicine

Internship:
University-based research within The Ohio State University College of Medicine's  departments of dermatology and rheumatology, and focuses on IgA vasculitis, renal biopsy results, and patient outcome measures, while also conducting community health research within the Columbus Free Clinic

Reflections from OSMA Summer Scholar, Saksha:

"This summer, I learned a great deal about the pathology of dermatological afflictions and the role of dermatologists in the presentation of autoimmune diseases.

Simultaneously, much of my time was been spent conducting research on clinic flow and operations at the Columbus Free Clinic. It was a great experience familiarizing myself with chart reviews and EMRs, while also building upon my leadership skills with my peers at the free clinic.

I look forward to building upon this initial foundation in research and improve upon my skills and efficiency in doing so!"
