In June, several members of the OSMA’s International Medical Graduate (IMG) Section met with staff from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to discuss the timeline and opportunities for increased education related to the administration of the J1 Visa Waiver Program in Ohio.

In addition, they discussed partnering more broadly on addressing the healthcare workforce opportunities and challenges in underserved portions of the state. At the conclusion of the meeting, both groups agreed to continue dialogue moving forward and focus on opportunities for collaboration.
